Congratulations to the Graduating Class of 2020

Another outstanding group of young, independent and resilient Year 12 students have recently graduated from Broome Senior High School. Congratulations to the Graduating Class of 2020.
Their celebrations began in week two of this term with a Graduation Breakfast shared with their teachers, where the highly anticipated teacher awards written by the students were handed out and a delicious feast was provided by our Food Technology department.
In the evening the students and their families celebrated the official Graduation Ceremony at the Broome Civic Centre where highest achieving students, special awards and the DUX of the year were announced.
The following morning the students congregated back at school for their Year 12 Graduation Assembly. In turn, the students’ form teachers had some fun and read out the student certificates. After the assembly, students left the gymnasium for one last time and attended their Graduation Morning Tea with their parents, caregivers and staff where their remarkable milestone was celebrated by sharing stories and reminiscing of their earlier years here at the school.
It has been said many times before, but this year has truly been like no other. The obstacles faced by these Year 12 students and the way they have been overcome is nothing short of admirable.
It is safe to say that our 2020 Graduates have taken every challenge thrown at them and turned these into opportunities. We are all inspired by their persistence, work ethic, integrity and how they have conducted themselves throughout this year. We say a big congratulations to our deserving 2020 Graduates who (now post-exams) have successfully conquered Year 12.
You will be greatly missed by our school community but we are proud of what you have achieved and we are excited for you and the next chapter of your lives.
