Students Serve at Shinju Matsuri Long Table Dinner
2,200 dumplings, 700 guests, 3,600 oysters, five interstate chefs, local chefs, Master Chefs, apprentice chefs, junior chefs, the list goes on. Thank you to the Sydney Cove Oyster Bar for the idea of including our students in the preparation and serving of the magnificent five-star meal at the 2022 Shinju Matsuri Long Table Dinner.
Brendan Pang was the guest chef this year who had as much fun as the students making the dumplings served for the entrée. A special mention to the 15 girls who stepped into the hospitality spotlight and worked alongside the professional wait staff who assisted with serving the different courses to the guests.
This opportunity provided a fabulous experience and was a highlight for everyone involved. Thank you to all the students who helped during this week. The Home Economics staff are very proud of you all.
