2021 Twilight Athletics Carnival
The 2021 Faction Athletics Carnival day held last Term on Haynes Oval, showed a fantastic display of faction spirit, healthy competition and all-round fun. It was a time for our students to demonstrate their athletic talents and for those more creatively based to show their support for their faction through some inspiring chants, decorative outfits and body paint from head to toe.
This year, for the third year in a row Dampier celebrated being Champions again. Riddell was not too far behind in 2nd place, Miller in 3rd place and Durack in 4th place.
The carnival structure was set up to maximise student participation and engagement by having multiple stations in a tabloid format. Throughout the day and into the evening, students competed in the standard throwing, jumping and running events as well as novelty races, fun games, caber toss, and the commando course.Ā 
A fantastic whole school event that showcased our studentsā physical capabilities and talents. Congratulations to all the students who attended and participated in the carnival, as well as the students receiving the individual year awards.
Thank you to the hard-working and extremely supportive staff of the school for their wonderful contributions in making the Athletics day such a success, along with our amazing P & C team running the canteen. A special mention and thank you to the Physical Education team who organised and coordinated the carnival, and to all the parents, carers and community members that came down to support, thank you.
