Largest turnout at the Kimberley Cup 2023
The annual Fuel to Go & Play Kimberley Cup was again a huge success this year with 13 schools from across the Kimberley travelling to Broome to compete in the 4 day event. Schools could enter teams in basketball, volleyball, AFL, AFL9s, netball and soccer.
It was one of the largest turnouts we have had with schools nominating over 90 teams to compete in the competition.
Kimberley Cup is an excellent incentive to reward students for their positive behaviour and school attendance. It also provides an opportunity to showcase the amazing sporting talent we have in the Kimberley region.
Despite the unseasonable wet weather all of the students involved participated with fantastic enthusiasm and sportsmanship. Broome Senior High School won 6 grand finals to take home the champion school trophies in Boys Volleyball, Girls Netball, Mixed Netball, Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer and Mixed Soccer. Well done to all of the students and staff that were involved in the event.
